From interview to persona

Project:

Macromedia University needed personas to better understand and respond to the vastly different needs of its target audience.

Challenge:

The previous communication approach was too broad and failed to address specific needs.

Outcome:

As a team, we developed specific personas that help us create more targeted and effective solutions.

Personas created in isolation are not very effective.

The very first step was to assemble a team from various departments. It was crucial to include different perspectives in the persona creation process from the start.

Based on design thinking and my experience with educational target groups, I defined the research goals with my team.

Organizing the data and engaging the entire team

After conducting enough interviews and surveys and establishing a solid data foundation, it was time to use this information to create the personas.

Summary

Today, AI can simplify and speed up many processes. However, I would still retain a shortened version of the workshop to allow every participant to work actively with the data.
